Drawings of a Khattak warrior in an fictional novel

Pulwar Khan, a Khattak chief of Jahangira (fictional character in a novel). Illustration by Stanley L. Wood for fictional novel "when Nicolson kept the border", published in "The Boy's Own Annual", vol.43.

There is John Master's level of fuckery in this novel by Claverdon Wood. The writer fantasizes that a fierce Pashtun becomes admirer of the Angraiz when the latter makes him lick his own spit on the ground. If it had happened in actual, the Pashtun would have made an attempt on life of John Nicolson to avenge the insult.

No Khan of Jahangira by name of Pulwar Khan existed in 19th century. He is a fictional character.
