Sardar Hayatullah Khan was stepbrother of King Amanullah Khan. He was Minister of Education (1923-1925) and Minister of Justice (1925-1929). Sardar Hayatullah Khan and another brother of the king, Sardar Abdul Majid Khan were killed in July 1929 by Habibullah Kalakani's regime.
