The famous Lady Reading hospital of Peshawar is named after Lady Reading (Alice Edith Isaacs, Marchioness of Reading). She was Jewish. Her husband served as Viceroy of India from 1921 to 1926. Lady Reading hospital was originally known as the Agerton Hospital. It was renamed after Lady Reading, Alice Edith, in 1927 since she had donated Rs52,000 for the medical facility's upgradation. 

Note: Reading is an administrative division/a town in Britian. Marquess of Reading is a title.
