An old Waziri Pashtun woman, Bannu, 1897 (c)

An old Waziri Pashtun woman; a patient in Bannu Hospital, 1897 (c).

Caption: "She had tramped many weary miles to come to the Bannu Hospital. She is exceedingly poor, as is seen from her rags. On the journey she has lost one of her grass shoes, that cost a penny a pair. She was suffering from cataract. She left the hospital able to see."
