Bibi Mahru village, Kabul

Bibi Mahru (turned into Bimaru by British) means moonfaced lady. The place is called Bibi Mahru after the sister of holy man of Persia, who was at Kabul in Babur's time. Both brother and sister have shrines. The brother's shrine was destroyed by British in December 1879 when holding Sherpur, but the sister's shrine was not injured.
